About me
With over 30 years of teaching experience, I am a passionate and highly skilled Geography teacher who has supported hundreds of students in achieving excellent GCSE Geography results. As a former Head of Humanities and Subject Leader for Geography, I have a proven track record of designing engaging curricula, creating high-quality teaching resources, and leading a successful department through significant change.
My teaching career has taken me from classroom teacher to middle leadership, where I was responsible for developing the GCSE Geography course from scratch, mentoring colleagues, and managing a large faculty team. Alongside my school experience, I have also worked as a GCSE Geography examiner and continue to mark for AQA, giving me a detailed understanding of exam requirements and assessment criteria.
Since 2023, I have been focusing on private tuition, helping students build confidence, improve exam technique, and secure excellent grades. I am especially adept at tailoring my approach to individual learners’ needs, including those with SEND, and enjoy seeing students make measurable progress.
