I’m an experienced Geography teacher and Head of Geography, with almost a decade of experience teaching GCSE and A Level.

I currently lead a highly successful Geography department in South Wales, which I have helped transform from performing in the bottom 20% nationally to the top 10% nationally. Our students now consistently achieve excellent outcomes at both GCSE and A Level.

I’ve taught both in the UK and internationally and specialise in GCSE and A Level Geography, with particular expertise in WJEC. I have extensive experience of exam preparation, marking, fieldwork and extended writing, giving me a strong understanding of what separates a good answer from one that reaches the highest levels.

My approach to tutoring is simple: understanding the Geography comes first, but students also need to know how to turn that understanding into marks. I focus on making difficult concepts accessible, identifying exactly where marks are being lost and developing the exam technique needed to improve.

Every session is tailored to the individual student. For some, that means rebuilding confidence and addressing gaps in knowledge. For others, it means refining exam technique and making the relatively small improvements needed to move from a B to an A, or an A to an A*.

Above all, I want students to become more confident geographers and achieve results that genuinely reflect their ability.
